Fireplace Deals, an established brick-and-mortar superstore specializing in custom fireplaces and BBQs, recognized a gap in their business model during the pandemic—the absence of an online presence. They needed to replicate their exceptional in-store customer experience and product customization for the digital space. Technopath developed a custom, streamlined eCommerce solution featuring intuitive navigation, customer-centric user flows, a clean interface to simplify variable-rich product selection, and a scalable infrastructure to support business growth and expansion into the B2B market. THE CHALLENGE

Fireplace Deals' large custom products require decision-making and expertise. To successfully replicate the in-store, user-friendly buying journey, they had to establish a competitive digital presence in an underserved market that offers a unique online shopping experience without increasing support service. The product pages required easy navigation and customized builds. This meant creating an extensive, variable-rich product catalog with specialized technical specifications while maintaining a clean, organized, and intuitive shopping experience. Additionally, the infrastructure had to accommodate oversized product fulfillment and B2B market expansion.
