bedgear │D2C/B2B eCommerce Platform Migration, Site Development & Redesign, and Custom App Creation & Implementation
Bedgear, a $100M mattress and bedding manufacturer, needed to upgrade its eCommerce solution. They needed an easy-to-manage, intuitive, scalable system that could handle heavy traffic, B2B and D2C ordering from a unified platform, and a complex, variant-rich product catalog. Their existing system was overrun with friction and bottlenecks, making it difficult to keep up with expansive growth. After extensive consultation and strategizing, we mapped out a plan of action, including a platform migration, new site development and redesign, a custom app to enhance the shopping experience and decrease returns, digital marketing, team training, and ongoing support. Technopath worked closely with the other agencies involved, successfully delivering an eCommerce solution that allowed for market diversification, enhanced customer engagement, elevated brand loyalty, and increased ROI.
THE CHALLENGE
Bedgear hired multiple agencies to carry out the project, each one specializing in a specific area. While the experience was educational and overall beneficial, communication was a challenge. The project required careful planning, experienced team members, and continuous testing. At the project’s onset, communication was poor, which led to additional challenges with the site’s architecture, technical structure, implementation, customer-centric functionalities, and the user experience. As a team-centric agency, we’re experienced in cross-departmental collaboration. Utilizing this strength, Technopath stepped up, took the lead, and guided the project toward successful completion.
